Dog Day Care at Kapiti PetVilla is a structured weekday programme for small dogs under 12kg, run from our dedicated Dog Studio, which is built as a home-like setting. Learn more about our Dog Day Care Center.

Dogs join a small, familiar pack for indoor and outdoor playtime, with quiet rest in individual crates during the middle of the day. Day Care runs Monday to Friday (except Wednesday) outside the Christmas season (mid December to mid January) and requires a minimum of one day per week on the same weekday.

If you only need care occasionally, ask us about Casual Dog Day Care. We require your dog to be fully vaccinated, including applicable boosters for first-time vaccinations, as set out in our Terms. If you’re not sure, contact us or your vet for clarification.

Special Terms

Available only for small dogs (<12kg). At our discretion, we may accept dogs weighing between 12 and 15 kg, provided their height does not exceed 42 cm.
A minimum of one day a week (same weekdays) are required for a Dog Day Care Subscription.
Dog Day Care is not offered between 15/12 and 15/1
When your dog is not up-to-date on flea and/or worm treatment on the day of arrival, we will administer these at an extra cost.
Your dog must be current (including applicable booster) on vaccinations (Canine cough, Parvovirus, Distemper, Hepatitis), and proof must be sent in advance.. We recommend Lepto vaccination, but do not require it.
Vaccination/Booster must to be given at least ten days before the stay, see details in our Terms of Trade
Dogs over six months old to be desexed (some exceptions apply – please get in touch with us)
